Three of Lily Cole’s best films

Model and actress Lily Cole has been in the spotlight since she was a teen, but the precocious entrepreneur and social activist is still a big name in the entertainment industry and amongst celebrity agents.

One of her most successful ventures has been the move from modelling to acting – check out three of her best films below:

St Trinian’s

One of her first ever movie roles, St Trinians was a fun caper of a movie designed to appeal to teenage girls, but with plenty of knowing nods for the adults to pick up on too. As part of an all-star cast, Lily shines as the bookish Polly, a pupil at St Trinians who assists in the attempt to steal a piece of art and keep the school’s finances on track.

A quirky and very underrated film, The Imaginarium of Dr Parnassus sees Cole playing Valentina, daughter of the titular Dr Parnassus. It’s one of her first big roles, and she’s a stand-out actor in this large-scale fantasy spectacular.

Elizabeth I

Perhaps an inevitable role for a natural redhead, Lily Cole portrayed the Virgin Queen in a three part mini-series for Channel 5 in 2017. It’s a more grown-up role than her previous film appearances and one which she pulls off with aplomb – she should do, given she’s got a history degree from Cambridge!
